New Years food: Panda Express and Hot pots! ( ^ o ^ )

Sorry for the latepost.  I just had to put up these pics since I spend soooo much time editing them, lol.  I hope you all enjoy the #foodporn!

Our family had a nice, quiet New Years.  My parents went out to a party and so I decided to experiment with the hot pot again.

I'm really happy because we finally have an Asian market reasonably close by where I can purchase thin sliced beef.  ( "^ v ^" )


I didn't have a lot of the ingredients that sukiyaki calls for such as the enoki mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, Chinese cabbage, or shirataki noodles (my fault for bad planning...).  But I made do with basic cabbage, tofu, boiled eggs, and the sliced beef.


It turned out okay but I hope that next time, I can get all the ingredients I need.


My brother bought a Panda Feast on his way home and I made it look pretty.  xD

We also cooked some fried chicken.  It was a good day.  ^^

And that's not all!  I made some ramen that night so by the end of the day, we were all official fat @$$es.

But doesn't it look delicious?  おいしいですね？

Hello again!  My apologies for taking so long to make another 'Anime Food' post.  Enjoy! During my childhood days of watching Pokemon, I would often see Brock cooking this white stew thing.  It would look so yummy but I had no idea what it was..  And even though my entire family and extended family was Japanese, none of them ever made something like this.  (T__T)  The closest thing I got was corn chowder. Only recently did I discover that it's called cream stew and luckily, it's quite the easy recipe. ^^ I remember the very first time I made this.  I used a cream stew mix pack from the store (the one that has the blocks that you melt in the pot).  That turned out pretty bad so I highly recommend people make this one from scratch.  It's really does taste so much better this way.  I'm lazy so instead of having the pretty diced pieces of carrot, I threw in some baby carrots.  XD Close up ;3 I found this recipe on Little Japan Mama's rec

Why does Lightning look so different in FFXIII Lightning Returns? [SPOILERS-!]

I finally finished the game Lightning Returns recently and zomg, why does her face look so different?  I mean, she looks like she got plastic surgery. Before I begin, I'd like to point out that I am not criticizing the game in its entirety.  This is solely about the change in Lightning's hair and facial design.  The game play of Lightning Returns has nothing to do with this. :) I didn't really notice her face change until I beat the game and watched the ending CG animation scene.  (pic above is from the opening CG scene) I was a bit disappointed that the animators weren't consistent in her facial design, especially when it was so beautiful to begin with. Here's some compare/contrast pics I found. This one is of the CG animation for FFXIII, FFXIII-2, and FFXIII Lightning Returns. I dyed my hurr!: Kao Liese Bubble Hair Color, Milk Tea Brown

Don't make fun of my fingers, I already know they're short and fat! lol My hair is really stubborn.  No matter what hair dye I use to lighten it, the results are almost always the same.  Even when my hair is already lightened, it somehow still manages to retain that same coppery brown color... In this case, I seemed to have gotten the 'generic' result for "Dark color hair..." I dyed my virgin Asian black/dark brown hair and here are the results:   Window lighting. (Somehow this always alters the color)  Indirect daylight lighting  Bathroom lighting Box color to actual hair comparison in low light.  Seems like it was right after all.  xP On an everyday basis, my hair color looks like a cross between window lighting and indirect daylight lighting. I was honestly freaked out at first because my hair initially looked like it was slightly bleached orange.  But after a few days, it darkened down to what is is now.  I
