I often see people doing these kinds of things for makeup on youtube so I thought I would make my own list of things I've been liking this past June. ^^ 1. Body Shop Satsuma Body Butter I got this from a local Marshall's and it smells so nice! It's citrus so it's more energizing and it makes my hands feel so soft. 2. The Flash TV Series Nuff said. I wrote a post all about how much I love this show. It even made me start watching DC animations, the most recent one being Young Justice which is also amazing. (*o*) 3. Bunny Wrist Rest I found this baby in a Daiso store while in Seoul, Korea. I didn't think much of it at first, just that it would be interesting to try out. But it's proven to be wonderful and feels like a luxury cushion for my wrist. 4. Final Fantasy XIII-2 I bought this while it was on sale on the PlayStation Network. Long story short, I had some money in there from a game purchase mistake refund. I know this game gets a...

Dry summer

Image
It's been quite dry this summer, physically and metaphorically speaking.  We haven't had as many summer storms in the late afternoons.  It's a bit depressing since I do miss the rain.  I remember being in Washington state to visit my dad and sis and it seemed to be always raining there.  Why can't the weather be more balanced?  Reflecting on what has happened so far, I began my summer going to Hawaii to visit family and we stayed for a week with well planned out activities to keep us occupied. The we got back, had a nice laid back time in June just doing a whole lot of nothing.  Well, actually we did start to move shit in the house down to the basement because it WAS planned that we would be getting wooden floors in July.  But uh oh!, plans were changed when the damned thing was re-scheduled a whole month later. So here's all my stuff in the basement including my computer and it's dark and cool down here which I admit, is very nice but it make...

The Dark Knight Rises :DDDDDD

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OOOOOOOOOOOMFG!!!  This movie was seriously the freaking BEST of the summer!  I don't think anything's gonna top this one. The theater was pretty crowded seeing that it was only a few weeks after the mass shooting incident (my condolences and prayers go to those victims).  I felt bad for those people while sitting in that dim theater before the movie.  I thought about how horrified they must have felt when the realized that there was a real shooter trying to kill everyone there......  I probably can't even imagine.  They only wanted to watch a good movie!  I find it really sad that there are people in this world who feel like they have the right to take the lives of others, especially innocents.  That man who killed those people, he's not only a murderer, he's a thief.  He didn't just kill them, he also took them away from family/friends who loved them.  Well, the movie was nothing short of amazing, as...

My computer reset itself...

I spent all yesterday night trying to do a system restore on my computer and after all those failures, my computer decides to reset itself to factory setting. (-___________-) Kind of annoying given that I had a ton of pictures and music saved on there but I guess shouldn't consider this such a bad thing.  I mean, I could never really feel safe shutting down my computer without wondering if it would be able to restart again (my computer had issues with restarting).  And I did get to back up a lot of pictures of my dog so it's not a total loss.  And anyway, even though I took tons, literally, thousands of pictures from trips, their main purpose was to show family when I got back and I DID get to do that. In the end, I'm surprised that I'm so calm about losing all that info on my computer.  I guess that gives me incentive to create more pictures and memories and store them in a safer place for the future. At the moment, my computer is running pretty well without a...

Cooking Korean FOOD & other dishes :3

Image
And yet again I wait so long to make a post, especially in the summer when I'm supposed to have all the time in the world.  (-___-);; I was really motivated these past 2 weeks so I decided to expand my cooking repertoire and learn to cook some delicious Korean dishes. After I started watching this family Korean drama called Ojakgyo Brothers (omg she's talking about dramas AGAIN?), I was inspired to try cooking some Korean dishes.  I researched and found maangchi (http://www.maangchi.com) who is really awesome because she organizes her recipes very well so it was easy for me to find a few that I would like to cook.  She also makes simple, well organized, and easy directions for how to create each of the recipes. The super-awesome-kick ass-delicious dish pictured above is called Patbingsu and like the Japanese Kakigori, it's a refreshing ice dessert, except more healthy!  I noticed the main difference in the ingredients between the Japanese and Korean versions...

Finally going on another trip!!!

Some family came to visit yesterday so I picked them up and brought them to the house. It was cool because I could show off my kakigori maker~! ^o^ I made the strawberry syrup and mixed the sweetened condensed milk with some 2% milk so and it went perfectly with the ice. The taste is comparable to goodie goodie ice cream but not as sweet. The family all thought it was delicious and refreshing. I'll write about the kakigori maker in a future post since I don't have any pictures of the actual thing right now. It's so delicious and I'm so excited for that really hot day where I can make that and eat it with family. This summer is gonna be good. My mom suggested that I go back with the family as an early summer trip since I'm finished with this semester of school. It's a little sad since I'll be leaving on Mother's Day but I did everything I could do in my power to make my mom feel special these past couple of days. And there's also the fact...
