Ouran High School Host Club Review: So wonderful but too short-lived!

Image
Yeh, yeh, I know. I have no life right now to have time for all these dramas. xP The amount of dramas I watch come in waves. Now happens to be peak drama season for me. (*__*) This is one of those dramas where I thought it would be really stupid but then it blows me away by it's awesomeness. I finished it in less than two weeks too! Record time for a drama series although this series was also a short one.... so sad, it was really great! I remember watching the anime for this show way back when but I don't think I got to the end. Anyway, from what I've seen, the characters were chosen VERY nicely. I don't even care if Tamaki's and Honey senpai's hair isn't blonde as that seems to be a pet peeve for a lot of hardcore fans. Whatever, I think they did an excellent job with their characters. But the one and only person who I thought was so so sooooo PERFECT for his role was the actor Daito Shunsuke who played Kyouya. He is the GOD of sexy mega...

Just finished watching my first period drama: The Moon that Embraces the Sun!

This was one of the 'popular' dramas I saw on mysoju. I never really got into a period/historical drama before and since everyone was raving about "The Moon that Embraces the Sun" being so amazing, I decided to give it a shot. Of course, I get addicted from the start, lol. This drama is clever too because I usually start to lose interest from the mid to ending part of the drama but this one kept me hooked until the end. They've got some pretty nice cliffhangers for each of the episodes. The story is one of those that starts off with the characters as children and then they transition over to adulthood. The beginning is shown to be tragic but there is redemption at the end. Cool story, likeable characters, colorful costume designs, and beautiful historic scenery; mostly of the palace and villages. The synopsis is somewhat complicated so it would probably be better to just look at it on dramawiki. In my short summary, I say that this is about a girl who f...

Piko Utatane dragging me back to the Vocaloid world

Image
I think it was a couple of months ago but I somehow stumbled across Piko.. I really can't remember where I found it but I think I saw this video on a blog with Piko singing different anime openings/endings in female and male voices. I looked more into this intriguing character and eventually discovered the awesomeness of Piko. In a nutshell, PIKO is basically a ryouseirui or "amphibian/both species" singer who can produce both a male and female voice. He's also the voice provider of Piko Utatane for Vocaloid2. I really like his voice because it sounds different in the way that it's not exactly masculine or feminine but somewhere in-between which is pretty awesome. He also looks very feminine, I'm sure there are a lot of people who would see his pic and wonder, "is that a guy or a chick?" lol. I feel that I've seen enough metrosexual and feminine guys to know if it is a male or female I'm looking at so I immediately realized that he...
