Beauty Tips #2: For the summer

Use selective face priming:

Instead of priming your entire face, try priming only the areas that need it such as your T-zone.  Primer actually prevents the skin from breathing by forming a seal over it (much like plastic wrap) so it isn't always the best thing to prime the entire face.  Only certain regions may need it.


Don't use sunblock under liquid foundation:

Doing this will make your makeup even more oily and cakey.  This also applies to sun serum which I have tried using.  Your makeup will get oily much faster if you do this.  Instead, opt for using a powder foundation over your sunblock during the hot summer months.  I've tried this and found much better results with my skin getting less oily throughout the day! :D

 If you must use a liquid foundation, try to get one with SPF in it and use only that without sunblock.

Facial mists are a good alternative to touch up powders:

 Facial mists cool down the face and actually refreshes your complexion.  Is your face getting overly flushed and oiled down from the heat?  Maybe a facial mist is for you!  It gives your face a nice refresher without packing on more product and clogging your pores.

I've always used sunblock under my foundation as a kind of moisturiser. That's probably why my skin is so oil all the time!

I used to do that too and I would wonder why my makeup got oily so fast. xD

Hello again!  My apologies for taking so long to make another 'Anime Food' post.  Enjoy! During my childhood days of watching Pokemon, I would often see Brock cooking this white stew thing.  It would look so yummy but I had no idea what it was..  And even though my entire family and extended family was Japanese, none of them ever made something like this.  (T__T)  The closest thing I got was corn chowder. Only recently did I discover that it's called cream stew and luckily, it's quite the easy recipe. ^^ I remember the very first time I made this.  I used a cream stew mix pack from the store (the one that has the blocks that you melt in the pot).  That turned out pretty bad so I highly recommend people make this one from scratch.  It's really does taste so much better this way.  I'm lazy so instead of having the pretty diced pieces of carrot, I threw in some baby carrots.  XD Close up ;3 I found this recipe on Little Japan Mama's rec

Why does Lightning look so different in FFXIII Lightning Returns? [SPOILERS-!]

I finally finished the game Lightning Returns recently and zomg, why does her face look so different?  I mean, she looks like she got plastic surgery. Before I begin, I'd like to point out that I am not criticizing the game in its entirety.  This is solely about the change in Lightning's hair and facial design.  The game play of Lightning Returns has nothing to do with this. :) I didn't really notice her face change until I beat the game and watched the ending CG animation scene.  (pic above is from the opening CG scene) I was a bit disappointed that the animators weren't consistent in her facial design, especially when it was so beautiful to begin with. Here's some compare/contrast pics I found. This one is of the CG animation for FFXIII, FFXIII-2, and FFXIII Lightning Returns. I dyed my hurr!: Kao Liese Bubble Hair Color, Milk Tea Brown

Don't make fun of my fingers, I already know they're short and fat! lol My hair is really stubborn.  No matter what hair dye I use to lighten it, the results are almost always the same.  Even when my hair is already lightened, it somehow still manages to retain that same coppery brown color... In this case, I seemed to have gotten the 'generic' result for "Dark color hair..." I dyed my virgin Asian black/dark brown hair and here are the results:   Window lighting. (Somehow this always alters the color)  Indirect daylight lighting  Bathroom lighting Box color to actual hair comparison in low light.  Seems like it was right after all.  xP On an everyday basis, my hair color looks like a cross between window lighting and indirect daylight lighting. I was honestly freaked out at first because my hair initially looked like it was slightly bleached orange.  But after a few days, it darkened down to what is is now.  I
